Dating a new Schrade and a new Western

Gents - I've come into a Schrade 272 small Jack stamped Schrade/Walden/NY USA. I've done quite a bit of digging and don't see a definitive date range. Any help? (I'm assuming late-60s?)

Also snagged a Western 462 stamped Western/Boulder Colo/Made in USA. All the stamp guides seem to skip this one. Looks pre-73 and potentially back to 1950? Any guidance appreciated! (I know the stamp transition for Western in the late 60s/early 70s was "gradual"... which doesn't help.)
