I own both. The Dauntless is a very nice knife with excellent fit and finish. There's something about the Hinderer though that is even more SOLID and machine-like. Both make great hard users but if I had to choose just one I'd choose the XM.
Thanks for all of the feedback. I am leaning more towards the XM, but I really like the look of the MK2. It seems as though the overall opinion of XM's is nothing but positive, but I think I won't quite understand until I hold one in my hand.
Decisions decisions..
Gotta go with the Dauntless. It's hands down my favorite pocket knife that I own. Production or custom, I really don't think you can go wrong. I do agree its not as "solid" feeling as an xm or a strider can be, but I like the design and feel of it so much more.
