Just looking to get general feedback and opinions.

This knife would be the same as any other knife I own, an EDC user.

Thank you in advance.

Oh, if I could afford to buy both, I would :)

I own both. The Dauntless is a very nice knife with excellent fit and finish. There's something about the Hinderer though that is even more SOLID and machine-like. Both make great hard users but if I had to choose just one I'd choose the XM.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I am leaning more towards the XM, but I really like the look of the MK2. It seems as though the overall opinion of XM's is nothing but positive, but I think I won't quite understand until I hold one in my hand.
Decisions decisions..

Gotta go with the Dauntless. It's hands down my favorite pocket knife that I own. Production or custom, I really don't think you can go wrong. I do agree its not as "solid" feeling as an xm or a strider can be, but I like the design and feel of it so much more. :)

True blade forums answer? Get which ever one you see for sale first, then get the other later :D

Both are killer blades. I sold my MK2 and kept my xm18, although I do miss the dauntless!

The XM18 is a bit thicker and very solid feeling, the dauntless is light, and a perfect size for EDC.
