Just rec. this knife in the mail about an hour ago. Big Nessmuk style hunter by Dave Beck. Don't know if the sheath is original to it or not but the person I rec. it from said it was. It is made of very robust and thick horsehide and is marked as such. Knife has never been used with just tiniest bit of tarnish starting to show up on the blade. Tiny specs. Just WD'd it and will leave it as is. Tiger maple handles slabs and brass bolsters. This thing is gorgeous. If I could post a pic of it I would but have no priveledges for that me thinks.

It is slightly thicker than .125 but not a full 3/16ths. at the spine. Gradual distal taper towards the point. Never been sharpened and is still pretty sharp from being made who knows when. I bet ya I could get it like a razor but will hold off til I can find out more about it. It is a bout 10.5" total length with a good 6" being blade. BECK is stamped on the left side at the top back by bolsters in a half moon shape. It is clear and very well done too I might add.

The sheath is super heavy duty and carried the knife very deeply ensconced. Has a thick belt hanger with rivets down the side of the sheath with a stiff thick welt. The sheath is about a half inch thick and the belt loop is about a quarte inch thick. This knife and sheath are friggin excellant man. Well there you have it a blast from the past. Keepem sharp
