I don't like giving away too many secrets;), but If you havent tried Dave's new sheaths........you need too:cool:

He is not making them with blade retention anymore. The new ones including the ones below all use handle retention:thumbup::) I see it as a major improvement.

These are some of the finest kydex Ive owned.

Dave is the Picasso of carving, and embellishing kydex, and can make them with a lot of style. His warranty is second to none. I believe that all of this combined with the color options he has available make Dave one of the best choices for kydex.

My first set of his new sheaths were 10 S5 se's in carbon fiber pattern . I took one knife and inserted it into all ten sheaths. THey were all exceptional, but best of all there were no scratches on the blade afterwards.

those are some nice looking blade hugger's ya got there t. now how's about sending a few over my way so i can "inspect them" to make sure there are free of defect's.

be careful that table dosen't look like it can much more.

Dang T, you must of cleaned up at the creek and the store. And that carbon fiber looks sweeeet!

Haven't they always used handle retention? I don't see how you could use blade retention unless it's a skeletonized knife.

Holy Crap, I don't think even I have that many Buy Brown sheaths !!!!!!

Thanks for the complements T.

I really appreciate it.

Dave does awesome work. Glad to hear that you've gone to handle retention.

T, is that 4 SR Vex's on the lower right?,,, Man I am jealous:thumbup::thumbup:

Nice spread:D ,I cant wait to get his SAR3 sheath for the newest member of the family:D

Dave's always done the most awesome looking kydex around. He makes an art of it.

Blade retention was only reason i haven't gotten one.

I need one now, as T has already told me how great these Handle retention sheaths fit.

I better decide what knife i need a sheath for next, cause I have a feeling Big Dave is about to get very busy!

Well...props to T for promoting Buy Brown. It takes a big man to do something like that.

Now, as far as those pics  you, sir have way too many knives.

T speaks the truth.:D

My VEX has zero kydex marks. Dave sheaths are really good at grabbing the handle and not screwing up your satin finish.

RightFreakingOn Mister Brown!

Dave Browns customer service is the same as Busse Combats, second to none! My post is absolutely retracted, as he takes care of his customers.

My honest experience -

Sheath for ASH-1, Kind of a loose fit, after knife was made satin the sheath put horrific scratches in the blade like it was carbide lined.

Sheath for FFBM, fit was a little better, I didn't actually buy the sheath, it came with the knife. Horrible scratching still.

Sheath for NMFBM - Same.

NOW, the open spine sheath that came with my zilla was top knotch! Great fit, and looked great too. I was thrown from a truck bed on a frozen lake whipping around, I snapped the hardware on the sheath in two. Dave promptly sent me new hardware for free, not even asking for shipping.

I think a switch to full handle retention is a certainly a step in the right direction for BB, and if his new sheaths are anything like his zilla sheath, they're going to be quite nice.

Just an honest opinion.

Sent you a e-mail my friend, I want to make you happy.

Please send me a e-mail so we can get you fixed up. :)

I recently acquired one of these fine sheaths from knife hunter. I used to think my Mashed Cats could not be beat, but seeing and feeling is believing. Rock solid, and no blade rub. Buy Brown- for the Kydexophile in each of us.
