Dave called me brother, I do feel like I've lost a brother.

Devastation is a good word, I've lost a mentor and best friend. I feel honored that i got to meet him in '08 at Blade.

Godspeed my friend and brother in leather. :(

Dave you were like one of my KIDs and I will miss you so much. A few weeks ago I told Dave as soon as I was well enough My wife and I would fly out to see him before I died with all the problems I have had and now this happens KT

Ouch. Blindsided by this news.

A heartfelt thought to his family and closest friends.

Dave was my good friend and I will miss him greatly. Always made it a point to visit with he and Linda at Blade each year. He was a good man and mentor to the fledgling leather community. He helped many a nooby along the path.

I have just talked to Linda and she wants me to thank you all for the nice comments and prayers. At this time she cannot post but will in the future. KT

I have about 25 of Daves knifes. Here are some of his works. The kast knife shown is not finished . It needs to be sharpened . It is the last knife he was working on for me when he passed on. KT

For those that did'nt know Dave or his knives and sheaths very well, Dave was a knifemaker who's skills in leatherworking quickly surpassed his knives. He made great knives, but his leatherworking skills was several notches above his knives, and that's what he became known for, more so than his knives. That is until Terry Morin came into the picture.Terry pushed Dave beyond what he had ever done before, and provided him with both materials and designs that he had never before attempted, resulting in some of the finest knives Dave ever made. This speaks volumes for the skills he had, as well as the determination not to let a project get the best of him.He was a friend to all and a mentor to many, and I thought the world of him, loved him like a brother, and will miss him greatly.Dave always ended our phone calls will Addios Brother. With that being said,Dave yor presence on this earth and in this life was cherished and will be missed, and until we meet again, Addios Brother!!

I'm so sorry to hear this. My sincere condolences to all Dave's family and friends :(
