I'm sure Dave will be along to elaborate soon, just so no one gets the wrong idea, the offering is the photographs only, I assume that these have already sold elsewhere, or are from Dave's personal collection.

Awesome pictures. I'm really diggin the second knife with the gold studs for opening :D

You mean the knife clearly influenced by traditional patterns, but as different from a traditional two blade trapper as a Ferrari is from a Ford Model A?

Yeah, I like that one as well....it is done by a master.

Best Regards,

Well, I got three out of the four correct after I looked at the filenames.

1. Antonio Fogarizzu
2. ???
3. Ray Appleton (Maybe Ron?)
4. Barry Davis

I still don't know the second maker. Antonio again?

Dave, you are an ABS Mastersmith. Why is posting images hard for you...? ;) :D

Vunderbar!

I'm pretty sure that Dave CAN post, Jim...I've explained how I do it to Dan Favano.

It may just be a time issue with Dave....in either case, I'm happy to help. You got a problem with that?;)

Second one is made by my Italian friend, Tore Fogarizuu.. Antonio's Cousin.
Tore contacted me about making a 2 Bladed Trapper. The first was in Pearl, this one, a bit different.
Tore was kind enough to name it Dave's Trapper.

Antonio made me the top one and was nice enough to include the Gold initial chain.

Glad that you like them

#2 could be Fogarizzu but I also see some elements from Salvatore Puddu in it. Who ever made it, it must be an Italian, it's a great looking knife for sure.

Well......I'm just a new guy I'll just admire the knives and carry on.

Dave has been very generous in letting us see a lot of knives out of his collection the likes of which do not get to be seen often for over a decade here at BFC. I know that many of us appreciate seeing them.

Thank you Dave and Steven.

That's an understatment to say the least. I'm thankful to get the opportunity to see them and grateful the owners are willing to share them.

Thanks Mitch
