Dave Ferry Skiving Knife

Hey guys, I don't want to be too redundant, but this skiving knife Dave designed and built is the absolute best knife I have ever picked up for the job. I wish I could have had this 25 years ago. Just the right flex and holds and edge like you wouldn't believe. I haven't picked one of my old stand by knives since I got it.

Did I say I really like it?

That means a lot coming from you Paul, you know your way around a skiver. One thing I've noticed about Dave is that he takes pride in his work. I ordered a head knife and skiver from Dave after using them in the pass around. I'm still fairly new at leather craft but I know a good tool when I see one. I've been a technician turning wrenches for forty years.

Thanks Paul That does mean alot coming from you, like John said. I know you use those skivvers so much and have over the years. For those of you that may not know, Paul was instrumental in the design of that skivver. I'm pretty handy with a roundknife but hadn't used a skivver before this project came up sp didn't really know what to design in. Paul gave me his years of expertise. We just wanted to build one better than what was out there.

Thanks John. I always try to make something I would want. Whether its a leather project, a knife or anything else I'm working on.
