Dave Kelly

I am just getting into leather work to make sheaths for my knives. I stumbled onto a knife maker from this site whose sheaths really attract me. His name is Dave Kelly. In doing a search on the site, I see he hasn't posted since 2012. There might be several reasons for that. But can anyone tell me if he is still making knives/sheaths or has he passed away?

I was instrumental in getting Dave into sheath making, and he is one fine knife maker as well. I just tried the last phone number I had for him and it is listed as disconnected. He was last living in Los Angeles. I don't know if he is still with us or not.

Well, if he's not, then it's a great loss. I've done several searches and not come up with anything. I like his work a lot and if he learned from you, then I guess I'll have to start bugging you for guidance and answers.

I'm not at a point financially that I can afford to order the DVD's but I'll read any sticky I can get my hands on.
