I just recieved my Crachett desk knife. Can you put a picture and description on the forum.

I just want the guys to see how good it is and how lucky I am to have it.

Top work Dave. It is the first custom knife of another maker I have.

Well, here's the story. I made a knive like this for my Knife in the Hat trade and asked for a name for the pattern. I tend to name knives after characters in fiction who might be expected to use the knife, and since this is a desk knife intended to do office type stuff like opening packages, Reg suggested Bob Cratchett - after the Charles Dickens character in A Christmas Story. I offered to make a knife for anyone who came up with a name I used, and Reg was the first to do so. Since I've posted one of this pattern before I won't get too detailed on specs other than to say it's 7 1/4" overall and the handle on this one is Brazilian Rosewood. Hope you like it!

Now that's a sweet knife! Good job Dave (I like the pouch sheath too!) Boy I wish I had thought up a name!

Dave, outstanding work as usual. Reg, your a lucky guy. I'm a big fan of shall we say "smaller utility knives" and Dave's Cratchet looks like a real winner. I'm still planning on getting one of those for myself, and I'm not a big knife buyer. Use it well.

Thanks for loading the pic's Dave

This knife has a fantastic feel and balance to it. Razor sharp. The back of my hand is bald now.

I need to buy a new desk something worthy of the knife.

I'm still in grinning idiot mode.
