Dave Lisch - UNREAL STEEL on one hell of a sweet damascus bowie

I ordered this one from Dave back in May on a quick trip out to Seattle to
tinker with some forging with both Tom Ferry and Dave- Anyway I just got this knife and I am totally blown away by the steel. THIS DAMASCUS IS INCREDIBLE.

If you look closely you can see tiki masks and hearts on playing cards and all manner of grateful dead inspired visuals as well as some quantum mechanics and particle physics.

Dave said I could name the steel.
So I like to call this damascus

Either.....

"Touch of Grey" ...or ...."Trilinear superstring quantum dimensional dark energy antimatter with a Polynesian flare for no-limt hold'em"

I am taking votes on the names - (or if you have your own steel naming conventions I am open to suggestions .....) :D

My table was next to Dave's at the Blade West Show. He makes an incredible knife and his steel is out of this world!

This is one that I would have to handle to get a good idea of what I think about the handle. The steel's pattern is fantastic.

From what I can see it's appears absolutely gorgeous.

Needs a trip to your favorite photographer. ;) :)

I think Dave had it photographed at Blade Show west.
I think it may warrant a trip over to Coops as well. I got a chance to see him work his magic up in Frenchtown MT this summer.
Anyway I wanted to post this display idea for this blade. In my opinion it seems you can buy a great knife but more often than not, at least for me it seems to spend most of its life in a case zipped up and suffocating.
I found this great dynamite box from the late 1800's - check it out below.

Wow, Blake ~ Thank you. It looks Very nice in that killer box. And thanks to everyone for your kind replies. This is to me the best work I have done to this point and by far my most complicated steel to date. I am honored to have it Blake's collection. I did have Blade Gallery photo it at Blade West along with my D Guard Take Down. I should have those photos in about two weeks.
