Now this is an older one, even for me, years ago, my word I can't hardly recall, but it must have been in the early 90's that I met
Win Heger
down at the Baltimore knife show, a one day event back then that drew quite the crowd. I had gifted Win a small knife, he in turn had this one that he gave me as well. And even at that time it was a fairly old knife too. A Dave Murphy of Gresham Oregon paring knife which I recently started taking to work with me to do duty of peeling and slicing up my lunch time apple, as I grew tired of my folders getting juice down into the workings.
The knife has a hollow handle and the blade is flat ground and soldered into the bolster area of the knife, so nothing gets into the handle itself. While it can be slippery, the texture and cast raised areas provide enough to grip that it isn't a problem to hold and she cuts quite well. The handle is aluminum but I am not sure the steel that the blade is made from but it takes and holds a nice edge.

So thanks again Win, still being put to good use
