In october 1993 I procured a Dave Yellowhorse handmade custom Buck knife in Taos, New Mexico. The knife has beautiful inlay work (different types of turquoise, etc) with a buffalo in the center. The knife is a folding lockback. I now understand that Buck knife no longer contracts custom work to Dave Yellohorse.I would appreciate any information on where I might be able to obtain any new or used Dave Yellowhorse Buck knifes.

Pigeon Forge, TN. should be able to help you. I believe I heard that David Yellowhorse passed away. I've seen a lot of his work at various shops in Scottsdale, Az. Hope that helps.

I had not heard that he had passed away. I do know that a lot of his personal belongings were being auctioned off on ebay as part of a divorce settlement. There are always quite a few of his knives on ebay.
