David Alloway passed away .

That is very sad to hear. I have lurked on the Hoods board and found his posts informative. My wife and I were in Reno for our 1 year wedding anniversary last august. Saw his book at Barnes and immediatly picked it up to buy. I have only skimmed through it but think it is very good. Very sad to hear.

David was a good man, he will be missed by many! Our thoughts and prayers go to his boys and family.

He was a great teacher and great story teller. I never met him person, but from knowing him online, he was a great guy. I will treasure his book. Very sad.:(

David you will be missed,I remember you telling me that you were a rodeo Cowboy,so from one bull rider to another,COWBOY UP.

I talked with David on the telephone when I bought his book and two survival kits from him. It was about a year after the article in survival guide came out about the ausie kits he sold,so I called to place my order. I could tell just by talking with him that he was a good man! David was so honest, he told me these kits are no longer sold with the cool little kit knife from down under and I may no longer want them. David came over the phone as a good man who you could count on in a bad spot!I bought his book "Desert Survival Skills" and the two "MK III Kits" and still have them today!

I give my prays to his family and most of all to his children. May God bless David!

A good man lives on through the wonderful legacies he left behind.

His contributions to his family and society speak volumes for him long after he has left for the Other Side.
