Is this a COBALT Basic 3?

The last 2 pics, just to verify what I think I am seeing; does it have BDS on the blade?

Hi Teacher, I was under the impression all of them were the dendredict (spell?) something or another but cant say for sure. And yes you are correct, it does say BDS.

BDC stands for Boye Dendritic Cobalt. This is a Stellite alloy about 1/2 Chrome and 1/2 Cobalt. A magnet will not stick to it, and it will not rust.
BDS stands for Boye Dendritic Steel. This is a 440 C Stainless steel. Both materials are investment cast in a ceramic mold. The dendrites (macro crystals) that form during the cooling process turn the micro edge into a little buzz saw.

Hi 'dericdesmond'.... BDS, ok; thanks for verifying that. .. This one is 440 C.

What 'tiguy7' said below is accurate.
