Guys I want to thank you for your recommendations on my DTBM. David Brown makes an extremely high end product and his customer service is top notch. Between emails and shipping I had a fantastic sheath within 4 day.

Great!

Never dealt directly with him but im very happy with my 2 BB sheaths which came with knives I purchased.

He was the original kydex sheath maker for the Carothers Utility Fighter. After I scored my Carothers grail knife purely by luck, I contacted David who made me a very clean kydex sheath with TecLok, using his own UF for template. I'm very, very satisfied. Thank you David

Thanks Rob and Dave for the great combo!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

While I agree that David Brown's sheaths are good....the problems I've seen for the most part are cracked/split eyelets and its visible on one of the posts. I'm sorry, while it doesn't affect the integrity, it looks sloppy and shows the lack of attention to detail.

^^^^^

Not at all my experience.

Over the years I've owned kydex sheaths from just about every decent maker out there... there are just a few benders that I would consider at the very top of the game. Dave is one of those, and there's are several very distinct reasons that I don't go anywhere else; quality, integrity and attention to detail are just a few of those... In addition, I've never had an issue that Dave did not address until I was completely satisfied--regardless of culpability.

Guessing Mr. Busse feels the same... but what does he know about quality and attention to detail!?! ;)

I've owned maybe 10 of his sheaths. I've handled maybe another 50? I've seen hundreds and hundreds............. (Thousands of pics on here. Possibly more).

I can not recall, ever, since the time I discovered him, a decade ago, having ever seen or heard of anyone having a sheath from Mr Brown with split rivots or sloppy work. (I feel, like many of your posts bashing others, you may not be speaking from a place of experience). Here, you are referencing split/cracked eyelets in this very thread. You need to re-assess your statement. Are you referencing the shine visible on the rivits on the Taliwacker sheath, that another member posted above. The one the new owner is saying is Freaking awesome?

Have any of your own sheaths or holsters from Dave Brown to post up? Any personal experience?

I've also owned, and had a chance to use work from about 10 or so other professional makers to compare his work to.

If ever a person had a sheath from David Brown they were not satisfied with, he would fix it. He is a gentleman, and an asset to this forum in every way.

If anyone is on the fence about a produce from David Brown, I can't recommend his work highly enough. More importantly, he is not here to just promote his work, or business. He is a collector, a user, and a man who really enjoys the hobby. He has done more crazy hard use with his knives than most would ever consider (my self included). He is constantly giving back to members here.

You seem very SALTY since Mr. Brown rightly called you out on your boorish and rude thread where you accused Busse of cheating you for Daring to sell coated blades for more than Cold Steel's $60 satin finished blades............

I've read quite a few of your negative posts, tearing others down (often others you have had no personal dealings with on the GBU forum, resulting in locked threads), and am happy to add you to my ignore list.

David Brown's kydex are the best that I have found for Busse & Kin. They have just a little flex but still offer excellent retention. I would very much like to see one example of the slop you are referring to.

I have a Brown sheath for a SYKCO parked regulator. It's very well made. I'd buy from him again if the need arose. Was very satisfied by my experience both buying and using. I carry that knife fairly often.

I can tell you I own 40+ BuyBrown sheaths in various sizes including quite a few sword sheaths, and none of them have split eyelets, are sloppily fitted/assembled, or were poorly designed. Dave makes high quality sheaths and attachments. He cares that his customers are both happy and satisfied with his work. Poop occurs for all of us. If you have a problem with one of his sheaths, email David Brown David Brown and I'm sure he'll make it right.

If you're upset with him in another discussion that's fine, but don't try to disparage him here. We will call you on it.
