I had been asked a few times where the off topic chat thread is for my sub forum. Why not this one? A place for clean, friendly and non-controversial chit chats among friends.

Thread title used to be "I'm the smartest one in the room", i.e. clickbait, and then this post said "Because my cat went into another one."

But I am trying a more straightforward title as of today (see post edit date stamp), since I sometimes question if people think I am really claiming to be "the smartest one in the room".

Because we live in the US. Often GROUND BEEF to make it even worse.

I had a guy from Mexico say he would like to kick the first person that put GB on a taco.

that guy obviously never heard of tex-mex. which is what about 90% plus of all mexicanish looking food in the usa is......

the other funny part is most "Mexican" restaurants in the usa, even run and owned by Mexicans calling their food Mexican.........serve tex-mex.

Shredded beef is where it's at in tacos. Of course that is Alaska talking and I've never been to Mexico so.... tacos are good

Shepherd's pie is good with moose meat too

Why didn't you use that thread, that one over there in the corner? The one covered in grinding dust and with all the dead mosquitos around it? It don't get used for nuthin'

Then there's the question of "Chinese food", which, as I was told by a girl who lived in China for a year, is nothing at all like what they eat in China.
