To qualify, post a pic of your favorite David Mary custom knife in the same frame as a dinosaur (aka dragon because I’m a young earth creationist) that you have personally hand drawn.
Here’s the knife I am giving a weigh to the chicken dinner. It is the prototype Prevex in CPM 3V with blue suretouch and comes with a taco Boltaron sheath. It is an R&D knife, meaning one that I made to carry and use myself for a period of time, said period to end upon selection of a kontesst chicken dinner. At that time I will clean up the knife if it needs it, sharpen it and send it out.
No membership level or tenure necessary, only you have to already own a David Mary custom before the contest closes, and post a nice pic of it with a drawing you personally made of a dino. Doesn’t have to be scientifically accurate or well done as the quality of the pic is not being judged, but a sincere effort is required to qualify.
Contest closes June 27, whereupon I will secretly assign each entrant a number and have a Supermod draw randomly for the wi… chicken dinner.
p.s.
Worded and spelled a few things strangely to keep the unwashed masses of one post wonder joiners at bay.
p.p.s.: when I was a kid I drew a Dino that won my hometown museum’s draw a Dino contest and I will add it to this post once I track it down.
ETA:
Grandpa was a well known local cartoonist, and we would go to his house and draw when we were knee high to grasshoppers. Art was always in my environment. Here is the flyer I still have for the contest, which would have been some 37 years ago now.
I was six when I drew the picture that won. My grand prize was a green and brown inflatable brontosaurus. I looked for the newspaper clipping that showed my drawing and announced me as the winner, but I couldn't find it. However, Grandpa made a cartoon of me a while later and it included a compilation of a few photocopies of my drawings. The one in the middle of a brontosaurus with bones showing is the one that won the contest for me.
Looks like I was quite the snippy one
