These are the pictures that I got back from Coop.... :)

Sorry for these pictures but David relieved Lightening Strike Carbon-Fiber to make a small bolster then did a wrap that ends with a pommel of Ancient Ivory. The Damascus is super-tight and perfectly welded with a high polish and razor sharp. David make an ambidextrous, horizontal cross-draw sheath for it and it's quite nice.

He also made me a kake out of a piece of driftwood he got on a beach south of Juneau in Haines, AK., on a base of Alaskan Red Cedar....these are his photos and I can hardly wait to get it set up.

Very cool pieces Dudley. I really like fusion of styles that David does.

I think I like the idea of the bowie more than I actually like it.

It's got real intent and it looks great. I like the lack of choil and as always the combination of materials. Think I would have liked something different under the wrap but then I understand that the natural material is so good that you don't want to suffocate its beauty with something else. I do think a nod to carbon fibre there might have been cool.

It's a bowie though I wish id saw earlier in the for sale section.

Coops photo is great. When Joe posted it that was my gut reaction: Caleb or Coop need to shoot that monster.

Great knives all round. Really dig the stand too.

This is a perfect example of how a pro photo can really show a blade off

Awesome stuff

Congrats to all involved

NICE score, Dudley.
Off the charts unique and what a display.
Great images as usual, Coop.

Between this thread and the threads that's currently close to this one with Stuart's and Bob's knives in them, never let it be said that the Japanese influence on knives is anywhere close to dead!:D Between the three threads there's just a massive influx of creativity fusing different styles.

Dudley, per usual, amazing! 2015 is starting off with a bang for you.

VERY nice.
The kwkn handle looks too long, tho.
rolf

The handle is perfectly sized....the angle I took the picture at might skew things a bit BUT this is a belt knife, not a mini-necker, and I very much enjoy a knife with a properly sized handle.....just because the blade is around 3 1/2" of razor-like Damascus doesn't mean, for me anyway, that it should have a 3 1/2"-4" handle.

For me, a huge turn-off is a knife with a handle that's way too short to actually do work with.....nothing to hang onto....this one is exceptional. ;)

Fantastic knives! Fantastic fusion of styles and materials! Coops photos are superb as well.

What is the handle length?

I got out the measuring stick and the blade is almost 3 1/2" and the handle just a touch over 4".

Light, with the incorporation of Carbon-fiber....razor-sharp and flat-ground, with a 2-bar twist Damascus that was sawn in half and stacked/welded so the pattern is what was the inside of the bar....stunning, with the Ancient Ivory pommel and traditional wrap.

Can hardly wait to see what Mr. Mirabile pounds out next....
