If you remember last year my dear friend David Mirabile was chosen to make the John Sharp Presentation knives for last years award.

This year David was asked to make 2
He flew into Vegas to attend the show and present the knives
In David’s own words
...............
John Sharp has become someone that I am proud to call a friend. He has been using a knife that I made for him several years ago after a client of mine brought one of my knives to South Africa on a hunt. My client hunted with John Sharp, who quickly gravitated to my knife, and carried it the entire Safari. My client was worried that he wouldn't get it back. After that hunt, John Sharp contacted me and said the he wanted that exact same knife. I never heard of John Sharp at that time, so I sent Joe a copy of the email. Well, Joe schooled me on John Sharp. Living Legend... well, I not only made the knife, I made a new friend...
This is the second year that I was asked to produce the John Sharp Award for Dangerous Game. This year I was asked by Charles Williams, CEO of the African Professional Hunters Association if I would also consider making the Robin Hurt Award for Plains Game. Well, of course the only answer to that question would be yes...
Both knives are 1080 - 15N20 , Matt Diskin's Lightning Strike carbon fiber guard, and carbon fiber frame, with Cape Buffalo horn scales.
Elephant over lined kydex sheath. I used a synthetic felt material that worked well for this.
Both recipients were extremely happy with there awards. I'll try to get some pictures of the animals they took to win.
................
Here are the knives and I want to say congrats to David
He has truly had a tremendous year ........ with the winning of Forged In Fire and all of the incredible pieces he has produced this truly has been the Year Of The Mirabile
