Just got this baby today. First off this is one NICE blade. fit and finish is amazing. the blade is a great satin and the sculpted G-10 handles really add a nice texture to the handles and looks stunning.
the handle profile is different than anything on david's site and it's a winner. super comfy in regular an reverse grips. really hope this becomes a regular model cuz the whole package works. not too small, but still light and beefy in hand. it has a nicely sized finger choil, a very adequate guard, thumb ramp with serrations, and a lanyard hole.
knife came scary sharp. it has a hollow grind with a partial top swedge. tip is very pointy and the top swedge should aid in penetration. also of note is that the top swedge has a gradual transition to the spine. i always hated the sharp transitions on the swedge like on the classic loveless chute knife. functionally and aesthetically it is inferior IMO.
PLUS! David's kydex sheaths are superb. nice and thick with an okuden-like audible click. looks like it accepts tec-loks but came with a horizontal carry loop that's removable. the horizontal belt loop is also slightly slanted so that when you sit, the handle points slighty up and won't dig into your legs, genius!!!
always wanted one of his knives and what a 1st knife to get!
