In 1995, Yellowhorse Custom Knives did a pretty fancy number on a batch of SOG multi tools. They took 250 Paratools and dressed them up with turquoise and ironwood grip panels and sterling silver inlays. The handles were given a unique jigged finish all over, then polished to a high luster.

Each tool was individually serial numbered, then placed in a fitted, velvet-lined, walnut presentation box. SOG collectors snapped them up pretty quickly. I know of the whereabouts of two of these rare tools, plus have seen a third one.

Then I came across this while browsing around today:

Wow, it certainly appears that someone did get a bargain! $213.15 is quite a bit less money than I paid for mine earlier this year!

Although it is by far NOT the cheapest price I have seen on one of these tools. A few years ago, my local sporting goods store had mis-marked one for only $50!!! I was a little slow however, and by the time I figured things out and returned to the store with cash in hand, it was sold!

I'm still kicking myself. Ouch!
