Yesterday morn, I received my new CRK Umnumzaan. It arrived in rather swift fashion from the good folk at TKN. I spent the day just looking-inspecting the damn thing. I was carrying my small Sebenza, yesterday. It felt a good bit heavier and has a much bigger l@@k to it, and I began to wonder... 'am I really going to want to carry this thing around on a regular work day'?
Well, I've been carrying it for 7 hours now and I'll tell you what; it's so comfy I forget it's there! It's actually quite a nice piece to carry. So far, no fit or finish problems. Test cut terrific. Smooth open & close. Quiet. Born date, end of May 2013, and still has the old, large pivot screw. I like it; a LOT!
I've got to say, I'm loving my 2 new Reeves knives. I'm so glad I found the mark (though my wallet may disagree). They are now at the front of the rotation~

I know they all look the same, but this one is mine...:-)

They are good looking! Yes it is a good feeling when you get to grasp and use great and fine craftsmanship on the daily. Yeah I wasn't sure when I received the 25 being larger. They do carry nicely for their size. Take care and enjoy

I thought the large pivot,on the UM, was discontinued over a year ago? Is it because it's a Tanto? Bart

You picked some great knives to start with, I've been carrying a tanto Umnum for approx three years now, love that knife!
Do slim that I forget I have it until I need it and with the perfect CRK clip it's always there when I reach for it.
There are a lot of us here that praise the almighty Umnumzaan, welcome to the club.

I love the Zaan and it's my #1 pocket knife. Although I do rotate other knives, it's the exception, cause the Zaan has solidified permanence. Yours looks exceptional with the tanto blade and especially, the lanyard/bead combo.

^^^ you answered my question!
Great knife, I think you will find yourself picking it up more and more often.
