West Rim Trail from near Lava Point. Forecast originally called for highs in the 70s, and lows in the lower 40s. While the cold front changed that to ~60/30, it remained sunny.

Since I was only doing 9-10 miles, I screwed around and enjoyed the scenery, rambled down into the tops of the canyons and stuff like that to keep from reaching camp before lunchtime. Still got there very early, so took a nap, got up and played around some more, and then went to bed early.

This is my favorite vantage point for pics into the canyon like the one below it, and my avatar. No clouds, and lots of direct sun kept my pics from being as pretty as on my previous March trips...

Some amazing shots in there. Looks like a fantastic trip overall.

How difficult is the trail to Angel's Landing? I heard of few unlucky people that didn't make it out of there alive....
Congrats on an awesome trip....gotta love Zion!

How difficult is the trail to Angel's Landing?
Like most things, it depends on the individual. If you're used to hiking steep trails, and have no fear of heights, it's pretty easy. If you're able to walk 2.5 miles uphill, and aren't scared of heights, it's doable. To a couch potato or acrophobe, it might well be impossible. I imagine the people who aren't well-conditioned or do fear heights, and do it to test themselves, are the most likely to turn around, but also the ones who get the greatest sense of accomplishment if they make it.

Really cool Thanks for posting and please keep them coming loving this thread
