Did a little chopping with the 9 today. I like it for chopping because it's longer then the BK-2 that a Brother here on the Becker let me use

for a while.I like the KING.:D

I sharpen mine with a diamond stone. I touch it up almost every time I use it. Here is a picture of the one I use.It has both course and fine sides. It like how it stores inside the handle when not in use. Makes it easy to take camping.

I have one of those too....it's my Survival/Doom-Pack sharpener. Need to get another one. One of the best ones I have found for the money. $15 at Walmart. Cut some notches in mine at the thumb hold and the tip of the stone (plastic part in the closed position) and put some shock cord on it at the lanyard hole to keep it locked in place for storage. I know...probably doesn't need it, but I like making shock cord retainers when I find uses for them (like BK11 sheaths...the bottle opener is great for that).

I have not used a diamond stone .I have a lot of different stones ,just never used a diamond one.

I have heard good things about them .
