A little past midnight I gave my friend a call to see if he was up for a hike the next morning. We left at seven and what a trip it was.
Mt. Lafayette in NH, 5,260 feet, 8 miles round trip, 3000' elevation gain
First half of the trip, everything was covered in a massive cloud. Three times while above the treeline, the sun began to break through the clouds for about ten to twenty seconds at a time. By the time we were halfway down, the fog had lifted a lot and we got some great views. It was a little below twenty degrees and just about perfect weather. We drove up in a bit of snowstorm and it was snowing lightly for the first couple of hours of the hike.
Knives that accompanied me were the BRKT Aurora and Leatherman Wave.
