Fall is in full color in Southern Oregon and I could not resist a two day hike through the Ashland hills. The wood ducks are migrating through and the leaves are amazing this year. On day one I mostly hung out with the other bird watchers and admired the waterfowl.

On day two we hiked the creek trail and found some amazing trees and water. Walked a couple of miles, had a nice lunch, made some coffee and called it a day. This is as good as it gets, all the beauty and none of the heat!

Wonderful photo's........though I have to say that this park no matter what time of the year always leaves you relaxed and refreshed....but coming from Medford and living at the base of Roxie Anne it's almost a toss up

Thank you for sharing. Some people wonder why I choose to live in Oregon. These pics say it all.

Nikon D800 & Nikon 70-200 2.8 VRII zoom: shot in raw, processed in Lightroom 4 with a little bit of clean up in Photoshop to get rid of some of the crap in the water. Not much done really. Exported to Jpeg from Lightroom and posted here @ low/medium quality.

I was hoping to get a few shots of the red leaves but I was a week late, they were falling by the time I got there. This shot is all I ended up with.

Outstanding pictures. I was born and grew up N.E of Springfield. I spent almost 45 years there, but moved to Bend a little over 6 years ago...

I have never cared for the " Jungle like :D " feeling of western Oregon. However, yesterday I drove from Bend, to Eugene, and it was a reminder of how beautiful it is along the Mckenzie river this time of the year.

Thanks for all the kind replies... Lithia Park is a wonderful place and worth stopping to see if you are on I-5 in the Ashland, Oregon area.
