I had to get out this weekend, the weather has been so nice and I needed some exercise. Poke O' Moonshine isn't one of the Adirondack high peaks but it's a steep climb and a challenging descent, especially with ankle-deep leaves covering a loose, rocky trail. I went minimal, alone with no pack, just a light jacket, SAK, and a Mora Companion. I'll sleep well tonight.

Looks innocent enough right?

The trail was flooded by beaver dams, with water deeper than I am tall in most places.

Found a way across. It may not look very deep, but it is.

This is the actual "trail", it gets gnarly as you go

That's all I have. My legs are spent and I'll be feeling this one in the morning I'm certain. Time for a beer.

Thanks for looking.
