Day hike pics - Whiteshell Prov. Park, Manitoba

Hi,

Just gt back from a day hike in beautiful Whiteshell Provincial Park in Manitoba. Went to Bear Lake... named for its shape, though we did see some fairly fresh bear scat, and dug up stump/roots. Hope you enjoy the pics! :)

And, of course, my blades for the day. The top one is a new Daniel Winkler purchase. I like the bowie-shape blade, about 4.5 inches. The smaller blade is an Ed Caffrey EBK-I; I've taken to carrying a small fixed blade in my pocket rather than a folder.

Nice pics. I really like that Winkler bowie - classic handle shape. The lake reminds me of Muskoka, here in Ontario.

Hey! I was in the Whiteshell today too! Just closer to the Point du Bois end (hwy 313). Great day. Lots of mozzies and ticks though:( Great pictures though!
 
Those flowers look incredible in those pics! Awesome! Oh, and sweet blades too. :thumbup:
 
great pics man...:thumbup: i love both of those knives, especially that D. Winkler.. i have wanted one of his knives for a long time now...:)

That's for sure. The bugs were nasty. My wife and I each had ticks crawling on us. None of them managed to latch on, however!
