Hi,

Here are some photos of today's hike in Whiteshell Prov. park in Manitoba. The weather was incredible... not a cloud in the sky.

Here are some views:

The blueberries were starting to ripen. The purple flowers are harebell (campanula rotundifolia):

Here is the pack I took. It's a Kifaru Tailgunner1 (Gen1). There's a Kifaru Organizer pouch on the back, and on each side I have a Maxpedition pouch for my NATO 1 litre water bottles. On each side of the waist belt I have a Kifaru Stash-it pouch, where I keep my camera and binocs. I took my Ray Mears Woodlore along:

This was the first time I had the opportunity to use my Heavy Cover Lid for my NATO cup (they also make them for the USGI canteen cup). It decreased the boil time from about 7 min to 4.5 min for a 3/4 full cup. This is a Honey Stove. Made some nice pine tea:

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Thanks for sharing the pics! Looks like a fantastic day. How's that heavy cover lid doing you? Good quality?

It worked great. It's very sturdy, and fits perfectly... I think anyone who's into ultralight might not appreciate its weight, however I don't mind a bit of extra weight for quality.
