Hi,
Here are some photos of today's hike in Whiteshell Prov. park in Manitoba. The weather was incredible... not a cloud in the sky.
Here are some views:
The blueberries were starting to ripen. The purple flowers are harebell (campanula rotundifolia):
Here is the pack I took. It's a Kifaru Tailgunner1 (Gen1). There's a Kifaru Organizer pouch on the back, and on each side I have a Maxpedition pouch for my NATO 1 litre water bottles. On each side of the waist belt I have a Kifaru Stash-it pouch, where I keep my camera and binocs. I took my Ray Mears Woodlore along:
This was the first time I had the opportunity to use my Heavy Cover Lid for my NATO cup (they also make them for the USGI canteen cup). It decreased the boil time from about 7 min to 4.5 min for a 3/4 full cup. This is a Honey Stove. Made some nice pine tea:
