Went out yesterday for a short hike with my pops which was more then unexpected, my father drove 4hours to surprise the fam and spend some time with us, unfortunately for him, my wife was working and Kamilla was at the day care. anyway that didn't stop us to catch up on things.

Although the weather was pretty grim and raining in some areas of monteregie, we decided to hike out regardless, knowing we would probably have enough coverage from the foliage to not get soaked. surprisingly enough, we were able to see the storm at the top of the mnt. and slowly watch it move past us, without sending us any drops :) we had lunch, talked for a while, and hiked back. was lots of fun, and this time I had the camera along.

I know I should be posting some of these pics in the ID that plant thread, but for the purpose of keeping it all in one place, I need your collaboration in plant ID. thanks in advance, and hope you enjoy the pics :)

Great stuff Cuphead! Looks like a great day of bonding with your oldman

This looks like St Johnswart

This can be Oxe-eye Daisy, but I can't see it very well.

Looks like Rasberry, yum!

Not sure, but looks like Wild Rose

This one is Golden Rod and that round thing in the stem is a Goldenrod Gaul. It has a larvae of a fly growing inside it. Cut it open and you got yourself some fishing bait!

Looks like Burdock here.

Hope that helps, great finds by the way and great pics!

Both Burdock and Rhubarb look alike. It is possible that your plant is Rhubarb. What color was the stem?

Burdock roots are edible as well as the young shoots. Once they flower you won''t want to eat them.

they were on the reddish side but not as much as the rhubarb im familiar with..

im definately going back to forage a bit, and there are some real nice spots to set up camp. stay tuned... dun dun dun.. :)

Looks like an awesome day out! Love the pics of all the fauna!
