Pictures at the highest point 2246m, not sure what that translates into in feet. Started out at 1535m which is the hight at which I live.

Cooling off the paws.
Thanks for wacthing.

Thanks for posting the pics, looks like a lovely place to get away from the rush of everyday life and just cool it.

Great pics, I like your dog. My mom has a Ridgeback mix that is 15 and still has energy. I hiked with him for many years, they are really great hiking partners

Good pics again! I have a new desire to see Costa Rica after seeing you pics a couple weeks ago! Thanks buddy

Is that the Ruffwear Approach pack on your dog? Did it take some getting used to for him/her to wear it at first? My little dude, Moose might be ready for his first pack. He's my little buddy! :D

Good looking pup, thanks for the pics.

Thanks for the comments. Yes I really enjoy hiking with him, he's very calm and never goes further than a couple meters from me, a great companion. As for the weather down here, well its quite nice, mornings can be misty and windy but at this time of year its quite nice. Regarding the Ruffwear pack, at the beginig when Id just put it on him to see how it woud fit and stuff he wasnt too enthousiastic, also the two other smaller dogs tend to play with it (thats why I usualy just take Chubbs on hikes) I also get the feeling he doesn't mind at all being away from the two for a couple of hours or days! Lately every time I put the pack on him We go for some sort of hike so he's associating wearing the pack with a nice hike. I get the feeling he quite likes it now! Tomorrow I'll be going for another hike and he will be carrying 4kg of water again. Ill take pictures of different parts of the path and Il hopefully get a bit higher as well.
Cheers
Wouter

So much different from my kind of field...
Love those unusually shaped plants (are those "fingers" plants?).
One of the greatest things of this forum is to see these kind of post,
showing off new fields.
Thanks for posting, WBaaijen.

Nice pictures....I spent four months there when I was 18, hiking through the jungle. That was 18 years ago. Man how time flys. Did alot of rafting too. Pacuare River and a few others. I'd love to trade places with you my friend!
