Hanna had some routine tests today, so Connie and I took Hayley out for the day. She loves to go hiking, and "exploring", so we started out near Heideikie Lake at the nature center for a hike.
After that, we went to Morris to look at fossils (she loves collecting rocks) and to the antique store where I found a mint 2 dot Buck 110 for $18!
Then we drove to Dwight to have lunch at the Country Mansion. I managed to get a ticket (first one in 40 years) in the middle of nowhere, for doing 70 in a 55 limit, there a quick $120 down the drain.
Then we drove back home down old Route 66 through the small towns. Here`s Hayley "behind bars" at the old Gardner jail.
Here is the old Gardner diner.
We had a great day out, and Hayley had a ball!
