Looking into replacing my Maxped Sitka because I can't stand the single strap. Would like to have to a similar size, I've checked out the pygmy 2 which is slightly bigger but I'm not convinced.

Any other suggestions for a "tactical" day pack with lots of molle.

i have a slinger and love it, but the 5.11 "rush" series is great from what i hear...i'll be getting a 72 hour bag shortly

Knew about the Esee Laserna pack, looks great but a tad too big for EDC plus laptop. In fact the GR Echo looks ideal if it wasn't for the price tag, that is almost Kifaru level. Better be very, very good. Have to check if I can find it cheaper.

The 5.11 responder 24 seems to be the same size as the Laserna, don't seem to have a smaller size.

I don't see it either. 1000D cordura but no bells or whistles. Kifaru is more expensive because of it's exceptional harness system. It's very well designed. This looks like a walmart backpack made of good quality material. Can't see spending that kind dough on it something with such a basic setup.

It may be a little big for ya... but I love the maxpedition condor. I have an original one so I don't know if all the internal pockets are the same... but it's got a nice main cargo pocket for laptop and jacket and what not... and the two front pockets are great for small personal items like cell phone keys and wallet and such. Also keep in mind you might want a pack slightly larger than what you need. Won't weigh a noticable amount more, and on that one day when you need to carry something else... you'll have the room.

Decided to go for Kifaru E&E plus an outside pouch. The main reason being that it is modular and can be added to a bigger pack. Still quite expensive with the pouch and let's not forget shipping but everybody says their stuff is bombproof, it should last a long time.

Thx for the answers.
