I got a good start on the satin finish, the lettering still stands out. I decided to add a rounded top spine on the blade from the tip back to the ricasso. I also smoothed out the rest of the spine all around, now there is just a final sand on everything and then back on with the handles!

Nice! I think those are the greenest TigerHide handles I've seen so far.

Planning on using that porkducci special ? :)

I see you've really got the green tinted tiger micarta there too....really comes out in those photos.

It looks great! I like the rounded spine and it's cool that the lettering still stands out.
Thanks for posting the pics.

Tim are you going to chamfer those talon holes? It looks pretty cool when they are done. ;)

Nice work and congratulations. I half hoped to be the first to post a stripped HOG ASH1 but mine is still in the mail. It's nice to see how the lasered name still looks good.

Turned out great Tim despite the lack of the signature Randucci clip point ;)

Very nice lookin'!!:thumbup: Love the rounded spine too.

Nice spine Tim! Your Hog name and the logo are clear as a bell bro. How the heck did you get a satin finish without those two coming off?

The spine work is very nice, and the satin goes without saying. Well done!

It just take thousands of dollars in equipment and a couple of minutes! The blade was actually ground very smooth and bead blasted prior paint and the lazer engraving, so my 4" wide X 12" dia. scotch brite wheel mounted on my lathe, added the satin finish without removing any material. You do have to be careful as you can smear the engraving if you are too agressive. I'll add a picture of the setup when I take more pictures of knife when done.
