So I had some downtime at work today, and got to thinking about knives (not an uncommon direction for my mind to wander). Eventually I decided that one of the coolest things I could imagine would be the ability to order replacement, non-factory blades for some of my existing folders. Say a 62HRC CPM-M4 blade for my Umnumzaan. Or an S110V blade for my Rukus (maybe 1/2" longer than stock, as there's a bit of extra room in the handle). Maybe an M390 blade for my Gaucho, or a damascus blade for my Kulgera....

Anyway, what kind of edged impossibilities do you guys wish for?

Yes, I've thought of that often. Or, even to be able to purchase better blade-steels for my folders from the manufacturer, when they actually have them in stock. I've experienced this with Benchmade, as they have various blade-steels in the same "frame" that are different in terms of "gold" or "blue" models.
