Hello Aircraft fans,

After visiting Pima, I was told how great the Dayon Museum was. I was headed right by Dayton on business and I had a few hours, so I thought I would get my aircraft on. The museum is next to Wright-Patterson AFB, where the Roswell wreckage (whaterver it was) was taken after collection. I managed to avoid asking any irritating questions about that subject.

I can't say I cared for the mood lighting. It made pictures really difficult. Sorry for the dark photos.

Thanks for the pics. I would really like to see it in person.
When I retire someday, I would like to travel the U.S and see all the different flight museums.

This museum is A) huge, and B) way excellent, one of the finest collections in the world. To really see it, plan to stay for a week.

Most museums prefer subdued and indirect light because strong, direct light can deteriorate the artifacts.

This is true^

The two hours I had before closing was far, far too little to take it all in. This place is worth a visit, whatever the inconvenience.

My Mom is from Dayton. When I was a kid, when we visited Dayton I insisted that we go to the museum. Heck last time I was in Ohio about two yrs. ago I went to the museum. Thanks for posting these pics.:D

Very cool. I haven't been there yet. I have been to Pima, Boeing in Seattle and SAC in Nebraska. I'll have to check out Dayton next!
