Heading down from central pa this week to Dayton,ky . Have family nearby and will stay 2-3 weeks. Will have a bunch of time to kill so was looking for any tips on , good eating places, stuff to do, sites to see. Any members close by?

I grew up in that area. Check out Newport on the Levy which is reasonably close for some good restaurant and bar locations. Main Strasse in Covington is also nearby; it is a historic district with restaurants and bars. If you're interested in seeing a Reds game they are right across the river. If you want to go knife shopping-the brick and mortar store for bladematrix.com is at 833 Monmouth St Newport. When you see the store, you will understand why their online reputation is spotty- knives of all kinds stacked and hung everywhere. But their selection and prices are pretty good and the people friendly.

And, don't forget to eat Skyline Chili while your there (4 way chili onion m-m-m-m-m-).

Settled on my knife choices for my trip,Leaving in about 2 hours. Tough to do but Im taking my Needs Work,Vic Huntsman,Kershaw Chive and a peanut . Plus fixed blades will be my Buck 119 , Glock field , and a china made heavy chopper. 12 " machete and my hatchet. Im sure Ill miss some of my others while Im gone, maybe pick up a few new ones at that bladematrix place.
