A friend of mine lost his 3 year battle with cancer last October. Great guy, but a junk collector/hoarder. Me and a bunch of his friends took on the task of cleaning out his shop and I found one of these 1" belt grinders. I have done online searches but nothing. I would like to clean this machine up and try my hand at knife making. Any ideas from the forum where I might find some replacement parts would be outstanding. Thanks-chinagreen

Tech Support is for Bladeforums website problems, I'll move this to Shop Talk for knifemaker help! :)

Grainger sells Dayton stuff. I dont know about your model# , but maybe a place to look.

Spalted thanks, I tried that already and nothing for that particular model. It is probably stuff that I am going to have to fabricate myself. Thanks again.-chinagreen

My brother gave me a Dayton chainsaw. In trying to verify the fuel-oil mix I kept coming up empty. I found out that Dayton tools were made or sold by Dayton Electric. They were bought out by Grainger. unfortunately Grainger didn't have any information on the old Dayton tools that I could find.
