To be continued..

Nice shots of the woods. Looks like a great place to lose yourself for a few hours.

Thanks fellas!

That fish trap is neat. You catch much with it? Do you bait it?

It catches well, although the lake isn't so full of fish and it's smal lake. You end up having fish or two every day. Bait is not used with these (although one could I suppose).

Beautiful pictures! Some really artistic shots there, and a beautiful area in general. What is the location? What knife is that?

Awesome pics. That forest looks like fatwood heaven :D. Real nice looking blade too. Thanks for the post

Thanks again guys!

It's somewhat mid-finland. Photos are taken from vicinity where my parents live. Place I want to visit as often as I can! Takes literally minute to get to that kind of "bush" from the house. :D

That knife is Svörd 7" Hunter 280H in Sandvik L6 steel (with custom white micarta scales). Superb steel! I have been thinking of making review some day this summer.

I'm a big fan of dendrology, so here comes the dendrology question: What species of spruce and pine are those? The spruce visible in the first picture reminds me of Norway Spruce (picea abies). Is the pine Scots pine (pinus sylvestris)? I know that it is native to that region, but I am not familiar with many other pines native to Finland.

I won't lie, I had to google a bit but you hit the nail with both of those. Picea abies and pinus sylvestris seem to be the only wild species growing here.
