Hi Everybody,

I made 2 versions for this one.

Usually on a curvy bolo-y blade like this I default to my exposed spine style.

I have been making a few sheaths for a few customers that really get aggressive in the woods and want a more straight drop style sheath.

What I do is make a "knife" blank and mold to it.

here are both styles

my Original Exposed Spine

and a fully enclosed version.

what do you all think ?

I have one of your exposed spine sheaths and I love it, but it's for a larger knife (BB13). I notice on the second design you're not moulding the kydex over the bolster (or whatever you call it with ResC) for retention, but using a strap instead. Is this for better retention? I kinda like the idea, it might be better for stopping the knife from rattling.

I don't have one of these knives, but if I did I would get the fully enclosed version. Just my preference.😉

This is really the only way to make this style, short of making the fake knife to mold with have a handle.
there could be a little rattle with this particular fully enclosed sheath.

Kind of a give and take.

It all depends on how you will be using the blade.

Do you make your taco sheaths this way as well now?

For EDC, I'm a taco man

Love the exposed spine. The new style looks great as well. Excellent workmanship as always. You are a true master of the kydex.
