I am new here and I just wanted to throw a big thank you to dbltap45acp and to knifehunter.
these two fellas have gotten me into the BUSSE knives and I think it is all downhill from here.

Here is the Combat Grade ASH1 I got from dbltap45acp, he has been real cool with all my questions, he is a great guy.
Hopefully we can meet up some time and B... S... face to face.

Here is the Hell Razor I got from knifehunter, What a guy He also answered all my questions
and helped me to understand the BUSSE line of knives very well.
I purchased the Hell Razor as a user,
and have so far stripped the blade and handle end, I never allowed the stripper to gain access to the underside of the handle,
so the original coating would not be disturbed. then I refinished the blade in
Brownells Aluma-Hyde II (flat-dark earth), to combat rust.

Here you can see the original coating that I left in the handle area and the new coating
I butted up to it.

I just wanted to publically thank the both of you & extend my gratitude for all you have done for me.

Welcome to the Forum Adrenaline, but i have to ask why you stripped off perfectly good tan coating just to recoat the blade with Brownells Aluma-Hyde II (flat-dark earth).

The tan coating you stripped off is no longer in production and is very tough and durable.

It was already well on it's way to coming off, as I said it was a user and when I got it
then I went to town on some logs. By the end all the coating on the blade
spine was gone and it started to be removed from the sides to the point where
the corrugation valleys & the fuller had the finish in them.

I figured that the aluma-hyde would put a durable coat on it and when it became rough
I could just recoat it again.

I am still playing with the idea of leaving it stripped and just keeping it waxed or oiled, to prevent ruse, but in colorado rust is not a huge problem.

Run away. Run away now. Throw away your computer. Avoid anywhere with free wi-fi. Eschew the public library. It is your only hope.

Roger-that capin!!!;)

Anyway it looks pretty cool with that aluma-hyde on it.

Again welcome to the madness and if you are smart you will do what Dennis said and get out while you still have some money in the bank and your CCisnt maxed out!!:D

Yea the wife asked why I keep looking at the BUSSE exchange, when I already have 2, I just look at her like a dear in headlights
than say "you will never understand"

Congrats on 2 fine pieces of INFI!!!
And nice re-coat job on the razor too.

And welcome to the insanity. :)

I'd tell you to run... but I know its too late! :p :D

.

Welcome to the forums! Sorry to hear about your addiction, I think some of the guys turn to alcohol to resist the erge to buy more INFI. This only results in USPS boxes showing up at your door more frequently, and not knowing when you bought them!!:eek::D

Nice scores too!!

Both those guys are good peeps...

Welcome to the beginning of un-ending debt!! :p

Don't know DT45 personally, but if he got you addicted, he's no good. :D

Now I DO know KH, and he, I can personally say, is a SCOUNDREL!!! ;)

Great knives, Adrenaline. That new finish you put on the HR looks good to my eyes. Welcome to the trough.

And kudoss to DT and T for going out of their way for a new guy.

Adrenaline...you'll quickly learn that so many of the people here are just classy individuals. The Busse fam is second to none.

A great start to your collection.........Welcome to the maddness:)

I began my collection with a CG ASH-1. It is a wonderful blade and Knifehunter is great to deal with.

Best you prepare for major Credit Card combat in the coming months as there are going to be some amazing offerings coming up from Jerry!!:p

All the best
Steven
