My post on Paracelsus reminded me that it has been a very long time since there was such a gathering. We had a couple of luncheons at a restaurant in DC's Chinatown, right across from the METRO subway stop, and we had a Saturday luncheon at the Clyde's Restaurant in Columbia, MD. We tried the barbecue, but it flopped. Is there any interest in trying to have another lunch? If folks would like to meet in Chinatown, I would happily look into getting the room at that Chinese restaurant again.

If only you'd had this idea sometime over the summer, sigh. Now I'm in Southern VA for school and won't be able to get back to Northern VA until the beginning of October.
If you do this I would say DC would be about the worst area you could pick for a knife knut gathering given their laws (nothing over 3" allowed). MD or VA would be much better in that regard.
