DC power supply for electro Etching?

I am wanting to start etching a makers mark on some of my blades, I am wondering if something like this DC Power Supply Variable,30V 10A 4 Digital LED Display Adjustable Regulated Switching Power Supply Digital with Leads Power Cord (30V 10A Black) would work for a deep etch and then cold blue to darken?

I use a power supply that does both AC and DC. Look for a used model train transformer? They have DC with variable speed that should help control the etch depth/speed and AC for accessories, so you can also darken with it too instead of using cold blue.
