Can a blade be DC'd by the custom shop or even the regular shop, after it has been used, coating removed, ban'd, or polished?

Jsut curious thanks.

Can it be done? Sure. Will they do it for you? Call them up!

I had a local shop (Colorado in this case) re-beadblast my ASH1 for a whopping $20 and it was ready in 48hrs. While not literally the same as the DC process, hence the "double" part, it looked great and was good enough for me...

Did the Logo etch get taken off by the bead blast? Pictures?

They stripped the black crinkle of my knife several weeks ago and did the DC for me, nice job! Turn around time was 3 weeks and the charge at that time was $65.00 plus shipping which I believe was $10.95. Yep, thats the customer service you'll read about here. Can't go wrong with a BUSSE. Logo was obviously redone.

I'd already taken the logo off giving it a ghetto-satin treatment (it was DC from the factory originally) so I don't know what would've happened. my guess is, given how much work it was to get rid of it when I gave it a satin finish, that one could be careful and easily retain the logo... but that's just a guess...

Here are some photos right after it was done, I even left the handles on (Magnum Black G10) and they came out cooler looking and with subtle additional texture (as seen in the "lines/layers" that are more visible now, whereas before the grips were pretty much jet black, now they're slightly grey-er/textured...).

thanks.

soon it will be satin again, which I'm certain I prefer after having had both on the same knife. consequently, I prefer my stainless 1911s to be beadblasted, but not my INFI. ;)
