So I decided to re work my DCDM that I posted in red. Took it back down to bear metal started over. I stuck with the red and black them but this time added something a little more relevant to the maker of the knife. Dog prints!!! I left the spine and choil red but feathered in some black to blend it all together.

Thanks Gnarly for the idea!! :)

I really like it. It is different, and distinctive, and a really nice job to boot!

Great work, and a beautiful dog!

Hey Bro, remember Amy-O is a pink nut!!! She might try to con ya for that one...

Sweet.

My initial thought was ...........It looks so much more sheeple friendly now!!!!

Compared to the same blade in black or satin or DC finish, I would bet with that paint job, it would be more acceptable!!!!

I think I am going to paint some leaping dolphins or cute penguins on one of mine to test my theory out.

Or maybe some hello kitty. or LOL cat etc.

That does make me think about some ideas. I have a black motorcycle helmet I painted a pattern on the back.

Because people kept trying to run me over, I painted a bright yellow helmet with horns on the back.

Maybe I need to do that with one of my big choppers to make it look more me!

Thanks all!!! I am always doing something different with my knives. I don't like to have the standard run of the mill blade....and Abe (the black lab mix) is my shop dog! Such a good helper in my shop! ;)

oh....and if Amy wants a pink knife....I have done a BUNCH of those.... a few are on my website and I have pics of the a few of the others.
