DDR-3 Question

Hi Folks,

I have a quick question regarding the DDR-3. I have recently purchased a kit, and it looks beautiful and functional - excellent fit and finish. My one concern is that the recurve blade looks as though it might contact the standoffs when the knife is closed, which in my experience is never a good thing for the edge of a blade.

Could anyone confirm this - does the blade make contact with the standoffs when it is closed? Has this been a problem in your expereince?

I don't know for sure about the regular DDR-3, but the blade does not touch the standoffs on the button lock version.
 
I just finished one with a damascus blade. Blade is never close to the back. If you want to see it, send me your email address and I will send you a pic as I don't know how to do it on this forum.Nice knife.
 
Thank you all for the help. Upon closer examination, you're right; the blade doesn't touch the spacers at all. Crisis averted.
