Here is a new EDC on being readied for its new home.
My pictures do not do this justice.

NICE!!! Thanks for the pics. Who made the Damascus?

T00rev:I am pretty sure it is Mike Norris damascus. Looks like the twist pattern.

Indeed Lorien. I like the jeweled anadoze Ti peeking out from behind the CF and the look of the plain handle slab surface with the damascus blade.
There is a short run of these coming up. I think I will get one of them.

Oooooooooh, those are most excellent!! I LOVE the one with the CF and dark purple.

Here is the one I picked up this morning. This is my favorite of the large EDC's that I have had. I honestly cannot say that I am a huge fan of damascus, but this Chad Nichols ladder pattern really did it for me.

This EDC is a bit unusual. I was looking at the some of the EDC blades in process and asked for a change or two. So, Darrel hacked and ground on the blade a bit per our discussion. This is the only EDC to date to ever to receive a tanto grind; and rather than having the regular styled filework on the blade, Darrel checkered the spine. To allow the inlay pocket to show off a little more, the pocet was jewelled and polished to shine through the CF inlay slots.

Very nice!

Can I say one thing, and I hope that it does not get taken the wrong way.... but why would a knife that "handmade/custom" get a store bought clip put on it? That same clip can be found on Kirby Lambert's knives, Greg Lightfoot's knives and if I remember right even a few production knives.

:)

The knives look great otherwise

 Boing  !!
Which store do you your clips at? I've never seen a jewelled clip with a celtic cross stud inserted in it for sale at the knife clip store. ;)

Good observation So-Lo. Darrel's clips are normally very straightforward as you pointed out; some are bright ano'ed, blackekened, heat treated; some are made of damascus. The clips are always highly finished and a thick stock. I don't know the thickness off the top of my head, but at a glancing at these, certainly thicker than the stock benchmade and dalton clips etc.

This clip is a touch ornate for my tastes. I personally like simpler clips. But to each his own.

I've no problem with your comment So-Lo, none at all. I was not offered nor asked re: choices on the clip. If an "appropriate clip" added $100-$200 to the price of the knife, I would probably want to pass. There are gold clips and hardware, but I prefered this. The jewelling was an added surprise to me.

I rarely give pocket clips a second thought since I don't carry these higher end blades and never use the pocket clip when I do carry a knife.

Paste a shot of what you think is appropriate? I am curious.....

I love what he did with this one :)

Or the way Todd Begg flows his clip into the design of the knife.

I stopped by Darrel's shop today to pick up my Madd Maxx.
Here is an in process shot of a collector's EDC near ready to ship (I believe to Texas).
I believe this is the only bowie grind large EDC made. I like the look.
