Is it possible to de-annodize my 42 without screwing it up. It's not wearing off and I much prefer the regular silver/gray to the color.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, if you want to see pics of it just click on my photopoint link in my signature. Those pics are old since I annodized them after that a couple months ago.

Hey Cam, how is it going. Hope you like the 45. Yes, it is possible to de-anodize the custom job you did on your 42. As you know I also did this and am in the process of polishing it up. (I am not sure what finish I want and if I am going to anodize/thermally oxidize it again.) But here is what I think you want to do.

Buy some of the Black wet/dry sand paper. You are then going to sand/polish up your 42. I believe that Steve once told me that it's about a 400 grit on the sides where the holes are drilled, and about a 240 grit on the sides and back, etc., (for better grip I assume) but yes you are going to want to polish it down until you get passed the anodizing to bare ti.

I think that there are others here who can give you some special tips for polishing, so I would maybe wait for there help. (I would also be interested in any tips, etc.) There are somethings that I am unsure of when it comes to polishing so maybe they can clear it all up (that way you can get your 42 looking how it looked before)!
Good luck -- let me know how it turns out-
Any one else have any tips for polishing a balisong?

#0000 Steel wool does a good job of polishing. I used it trying to take the colors off my 42.

The 45SHD is awesome!! Thanks a lot Malcolm!!! It's simply beautiful, especially with HARLEY-DAVIDSON inked on the blade. Thanks again.
