So I have a 477 that has been collecting dust and decided to de-assist the knife in hopes of more pocket time..
Well, I will warn you unless you have rocket science degree in engineering, it's no joke. The removal of the coiled spring is not that difficult.. Where it bites you is when you remove the inner barrel that holds the washers and when trying to figure out the maze that the barrel has that fits the washers.
The assist is built in the pivot, with washers that have groves and teeth, its a real jig saw puzzle.. The pivot has tons of parts and after about an hour of it, would love to kick jonearlt in the nuts, 2x..
