i figured now was the time to clean up ugly betty. i don't have any before bath pic's, it just kinda happened at the shop today. between the de-carb and all the road kill that was broken down into smaller piece's this year. she was starting to get a little tainted. not to mention her ferrous diet for a while. here are a few quik shot's before i head off to work. i like the tooling mark's on the cbt's and how the grip look's against the sand blast. enjoy ya'll.

edge shot's and the under side of the grip's. there was a lot of rust there, keep in mind this knife was soaked daily for almost a week. between water and blood they do a number on raw steel.

Looks great, very smooth with little texture. What did you use to blast it?

AFAIK, the Busse DCBB process involves a grit blast followed by a glass bead blast to smooth out the coarse texture and 'seal' the surface.

Nice!!
Curious to see how this finish will handle your future beatings!!!

Like I never could, to be sure. :D

don't cut yous self short, ever.

Looks awesome.

thank ya

it is a sand (silica) medium grit. he use's it mainly on catepillar part's. it keep's the large pump's clean and flowing.

yes sir, i will "seal" the finish with the next "brother i just hit a..." i do own a few 'dc' busse's, the finish will hold it's own against rust. also like any tool you need to service it, sealed or not.

Great job oger! What's next?

i am open to idea's! i have a mini van and two K car's to haul before winter. or a stock of fibrous thing's.

Nice!!

Looking forward to seeing it dirty again
yeah she ain't so loved it seem's.

Looks sweet! I need to put a bead blast on some of mine. nice job.

send it my way i'll do it for ya.

Looking good!
thank ya brother.

Put a nice mustard spreading patina on it Bro.;):D
Seriously like to clean em up and then beat em down again too. Go cut up a D11 track or something!:D:D

mymind how are ya brother, the mustard didn't work the last time i tried it. i left it on for two day's and nothing stuck. i do have a set of d-9 track's and roller's going for scrap next week. i think that might be just a little much, we'll see.

Doin' good my friend! INFI really doesn't take a patina well, so scratches and dings it is for finish. If it's too shiny I don't like it. Maybe that's from sniper (wannabe) training. I'm sure the tracks would fight back a little. No need to re-prove what you've already proven. You're a madman with super tough cutlery!:D:thumbup:

WOWW!!!!

Dang Oger,,,that thing looks beautiful Brother,,  Great Job,,She's all dressed up for the dance,,,now go get her dirty :D :D

Thanks for the pics Bro,

Wade

Looks great. Give that Micarta a quick scrub with bleach followed by a good rinse to get it looking like new.It has worked for me with no problems but maybe do a small spot first just in case.

Those are some great photos. You can tell that she is well loved and faithful to the cause. I like the photos with the battle scars the best because that's the way these babies are born to live.
